By the will of the Great Architect of the Universe, the time has come for Serbian Free Masonry to repay its 70-year-old debt. Today 6007 G.S. is the 70th anniversary of Brother George Weifert’s death, the most eminent and influential pillar of Free Masonry in Serbia.

Following the testament of Brother George Weifert, Lodge “George Weifert” will be an exemplar of Masonic virtues and sacredness, which have guided the life that Brother Đuro^[1] has led during his 47-year-long Masonic service.

By founding the Lodge “George Weifert” under the protection of The Regular Grand Lodge of Serbia, we pledge to be open and collaborative with all Brethren from fraternal Lodges, who will always be welcome in our temple.

The life motto of Bro. Đuro is best captured by the Latin saying "... NON OMNIS MORIAR..." (Not all of me shall die).

Lodge “George Weifert” wants to express its gratefulness to Bro. Stevan Nikolić, who has provided us with his work “George Weifert - The Pilar of Serbian Free Masonry”. The work has originally been published in «Ars Cuatuor Coronatorum», Lodge 2076 UGLE Vol.116 – year 6004.

^[1] Bro. George Weifert has often, and particularly in his brethren circles, been referred to as Bro. Đuro. There are examples of this nickname and his Cyrillic signature in issues of “Šestar” magazine. An example of his signature looked like this.
